QUESTION: I'm a Colombian citizen living in the U.S., I'm a dual citizen as well, I'm planning on going to Colombia this December, but i have a little problem, i already have the fight reservations and place to stay, the problem is that my Colombian passport has expired and i don't have time to go to the nearest Colombian consulate to get a new one.
I'm just wondering if is it possible for me to travel with my expired Colombian passport or just with my U.S. passport?
i need a accurate legitimate answer, i don't want to be deny entering to Colombia because of  the passport?

ANSWER: Hi Juan,
Just use your U.S. passport to enter, if they give you any hassle at immigration in Colombia, tell them that your Colombian passport has expired and that you will renewing it during your visit. You won't have any problems.

Do you know where i can renew my Colombia passport when i get there, because I'm going to Barranquilla is there any office there where i can do that or i have to travel to Bogota?

You can do it in Barranquilla. You have to go to the Gobernación del Atlántico, Calle 40, Carrera 45 y 46 Piso. Telephone 3307327.
Hours 7:30 AM to 12:00 and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Make sure you take your expired passport and your cedula.
