Question
I was born in the United States, both of my parents were born in Colombia. I am interested in becoming a Colombian Citizen. I heard that it is not possible. Can i become a citizen of Colombia and keep my us citenship? What do I need to do?

Answer
You can have dual citizenship according to Article 96 of the Colombian constitution. You need your parents' birth certificates and your own. Go to your nearest Colombian consulate and apply for your cedula (Colombian's official ID). If you need any help obtaining the necessary documents, or you have additional questions please email us at info@colombianpossibilities.com, we will be glad to help.
Thanks
