Colombia/road distance in Colombia

Question
Hi !

I am looking for road distances in Colombia, which seems to be very hard to find. I want to know from Turbo to Cartagena, and then Cartagena to Medellin to Ipiales and Quito.

Answer
Gabriel, sounds like a fun but long trip. I can sort of help. I've never driven the majority of that route but I have distances for the following:

Turbo to Cartagena 291km
Cartagena to Medellin 625km
Medellin to Cali 424km
Cali to Ipiales 497km

I'm having difficulty finding out about Ipiales to
Quito but I read that it is 5.5 hours by bus. I also read that Ipiales to Otavalo in northern Ecuador is 60 miles. I've been to Otavalo from Quito myself and its only about 2.5 hours by car. Easy driving on good roads... great views.

Here are some other links I found on the subject...

I question some of the distances in that last post.

Best of luck,
Garrett

Expertise

I can answer questions in English and Spanish on nearly anything relative to visiting Colombia. I can be particularly helpful for visitors to Bogota and visitors interested in buying Colombian emeralds during their travels. I can answer questions on how to apply for a business visa and offer a contact to help with the process.

Experience

I have visited Cali, Medellin, Pereira, Bogota, Cartagena, Villavicencio, el Parque de Cafe, and Santa Fe de Antioquia several times before moving to Bogota. I speak Spanish and English fluently, I have gone through the process of getting a business visa and cedula de extranjeria. I have several reputable contacts in the emerald trade and work with them myself. I have close contact with an adventure tour operator that knows every inch of Colombia.
