Colombia/Americans living in Tunja

Question
Just want to know how many Americans are living in the city of Tunja? What is the level of safety for an American to live and travel in the area around Tunja?

Answer
Hello,
Right now I have figures only for foreign visitors to Colombia. There are no official figures for the whole 2008 year. I only have figures for the first half of the year.
Between January and June of last year there were 578,707 foreign visitors. 42.5% of these visitors came from South America, 29.7% were from North America and 16.5% came from Europe. I have no statistics available for foreign residents in Colombia, I can search and see if I find something. Tunja is a sage city, not much to do, but safe. Check Villa de Leyva, it is a small town about 40 minutes away from Tunja and a wonderful place to live.
