Question
Hi Marta,

I was born and raised in NY. I am now living in Georgia. The unemployment rate has skyrocketed. I have been laid off. I'm a single 28 year old and have a lot of aunts and cousins living in Pereira, Colombia. My family keeps encouraging me to move to Colombia, but I'm scared that I will not find a job. I own a house/mortgage in GA and I feel stuck  here. I love Colombia, that's not the problem..My worry has to with my debt and the probability of finding work in Colombia. I have only an associates degree in business. I have a GA real estate license (real estate work is horrible here, now). I'm fluent in spanish - my mother is from Colombia, my dad is italian-american . My mother and sister live me in my house...we would all move to Colombia...as far as living space, that's covered. My family owns some property and don't have to worry about that.....

please help me with your suggestions....btw, I have no friends/no social life in GA whatsoever - I don't love GA, really....

Answer
Hello,
Unemployment rates in Colombia are very high right now. And unfortunately with an associates degree your pickings would be slim too. Your best bet would be to open your own business, which is doable still. If you want more advice you can email me directly at info@colombianpossibilities.com or call us at 703.652.3850.
Thanks
Marta
