Question
Could you kindly tell me how much a colombian passport cost for a colombian citizen who acquires the passport in Medellin? Thank you

Answer
Dear Mr. Brent:

I found a link that says that they sell for 114,000 pesos, which you could convert to dollars at the current conversion which is around 1900 pesos per dollar: 114000/1900 = 60 dollars.

I found that price at: http://es.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090924074312AAWmiVy

It says that you would make two deposits at Banco Popular (a Colombian bank): One to the "Fondo Rotatorio" for 40,000 pesos and another payable to the "Tesorería Departamental" for 74,000 pesos.

I found that answer after doing a search that says "precio del pasaporte colombiano" (I do searches for whatever I need to know).

The following page:
http://www.colombianosenelexterior.com/imprimir.php?idcategoria=230&resaltar=&in...

says that in Bogotá, Colombia they are sold for 98000 pesos. That is for an ordinary passport (they come in 32 and 52 pages). I suppose that price is for the one with 32 pages and I suppose the higher price mentioned in the other website was for the one with 52 pages.

It also says that outside of the US they are 93 dollars for the one with 32 pages and $113 for the one with 52 pages.

Best wishes,

Cesar
