QUESTION: Please tell me if thier are art colleges in Colmbia, my future palns are to go to colombia after high school and study in the field of  art. (2010)

ANSWER: Dear Gen:

Yes, there are. One of the universities where it is provided is the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. They call it "Artes Plásticas". They provide it in Bogotá and Medellín. If you do searches for universities in Colombia and then visit their web sites you would find what carreers they provide, but I already have a list with links in my web site at http://www.cesarusa.com/Colombia.htm

Of course there are private schools too for the same or shorter terms and there is the institution called Sena where the govermnent provides training for preparing people to work. At Sena people can learn things such as bakery, auto repair, computers, graphic design, etc. and the fees are very little. QUESTION: This Sena program, do you think it will help me with trying to get into college. I mean, would it help me with the major id like and then instead of going straight to work i can go into college?!
Also, my spanish isnt GreAt but its good, do think thats a problem.

Sena is like a public Technical school, but not a college. Therefore they do not use the credit system for consideration at universities. Some private universities on the web would accept such training as life experience/training and take it into consideration. Such training could help you pass some tests at universities if they allow you to take exams instead of going to classes, but that is not the norm. Think of Sena as an institution for those who are not pursuing a carreer at a university. Tuitions here at universities are rather not too expensive and you might as well just get into a university directly.
