It is usually much easier to find a person who purchases a landline phone because their name could appear in the White Pages, but that purchase is usually done by the head of he household. Since Jenny is only 18 years old I doubt she did that. Probably Jenny has a cellular phone instead. She is probably finishing high school or starting college. I do not have an easy way to find people in schools (Most likely schools do not provide a list of their students). So it would not be easy to find her that way. I suggest you seaching (do searches) in websites usually visited by young people: www.myspace.com, www.facebook.com, www.hi5.com, www.linkedin.com, Windows live, and similar websites where they list their names usually by first name and show their pictures. You did not provide a last name and probably do not have it. A private investigator could be hired and he could probably do searches in databases or do other thing in the attempt to find her. It would be good to know the city where she lives and other details.

You could do Google, Aol, MSN, and other site searches for her. Also click on the Images option to see their photos. Sometimes the name would appear, but no photo. Then you could write to them and indicate you are looking for her. You could include her photo and hopefully nobody would try to scam you that you found the person to ask for money.

You can also do searches by using the accent mark in Rocio as follows:

Valle del Cauca is a state and Cali is the capital of that state. Is is one of the major cities Colombia has. You can take a look at the location by looking at a Colombian map (just do a Google search by typing Map of Colombia.

I had not noticed until now that you indicated that she got a Master in Computer Science. Since she is only 18 that makes me think that she either is a genius or did a very short high school (2 years in one for several years) or it is a distance learning degree or that it is not true. Since she has a Master that makes me think that she appears as an student in a university. Therefore she should appear in the list of a university that probably is located in the same city she lives: in Cali. Maybe some news about her achievement would appear in the news or in the records of a university. She could appear as one of the Master graduates in their yearbook. You could search in the web for her name. I wonder if she is still 18 or was 18 recently.

I wonder how you met her and what other information she gave you that could help me find her. I am not in Cali and I only have one friend there who does not study in the university.

You could place ads at Colombian newspapers such as El Colombiano and El Espectador where you place the photo and the name along with asking for help in finding her, offering a reward, and saying that a friend (or indicating the relationship you have with her or the purpose of the search).

You could find the university she went to and from it find her last name (few people would get a Master at 18) so it would be the list of graduates and undergraduates. If you do a search in Google by typing Universidad de Cali you would find at least 3 (I did). You could have somebody contact them or you could email them. Their records offices should have the information, but might not want to give out more than the names. You already know her major.
