My girlfriend of ten years is a resident alien from colombia.I am native born american and we are unable to vacation anywhere together outside the U.S... I have a passport and she does not.She has lived in the U.S. for more then forty years with the green permanent resident card and we would like to travel..She says it has been so long she is unable to find any documentaion or birth certificate to get a colombian passport..Will afidavits from her mother or sister help..what do you suggest..joe

Hi Joe,
Unfortunately she will need to have the actual birth certificate to be able to apply and be issued a passport. There are ways to find it in Colombia though, if you need help with this please call us at 703.652.3850, our agency can assist you in this.
