Colombia/visa eligibility

Question
I am thinking of moving to Colombia this September to teach English.  Do I need a degree to get a working visa in Colombia?

Answer
Hi Lola,
To actually get a Visa, no you don't. Now to get a job, that's different. If you lack experience or credentials, you may want some formal study, often generically called ESL training, before heading overseas in search of an English language teaching position. Virtually all positions require only a bachelor's degree. However, candidates with advanced training and either a certificate in ESL or a master's degree in TESOL will have greater flexibility and command more pay. To get a Visa you do need a job contract. You can always tutor.
Please email me at info@colombianpossibilities.com, I might be able to help you further.
Thanks
