Question
Hi I am an Ecuadorian living in Canada, I am 22 years old and I have gotten a bachelors degree in accounting. I was interested in moving to Colombia and I was wondering what step I would have to take in order for me to be able to do that?

Answer
Hi Gian,
You have a couple of options.
You can get a Temporary Working Visa. You qualify if you are:
Foreigner employed by a Colombian company.
Foreigner working in Colombia under an academic agreement between countries.
Foreigner working as a technical assistant for a period greater than 45 days.
Foreigner transferred by a multinational to a Colombian subsidiary.
Foreigner hired by a news agency as a corespondent in Colombia.
Foreigner member of an artistic or cultural group hired for a performance.
Foreigner working as a volunteer or missioner for a religious association, who is not a member of the organization.

You can get a Business Visa. You qualify if you are:
Foreigner coming to Colombia to do business with a local company.
Foreigner coming to Colombia to do business on his own. Must show proof of capital to invest.

You can get a Temporary Partner Visa. You qualify if you are:
Foreigner coming to Colombia as a partner to an existing company.

You can get a Temporary Spouse Visa. You qualify if you are marrying or are married to a Colombian national.

Hope this helps. Our agency provides Visa services, if you are interested you can contact us at info@colombianpossibilities.com
