Question
i've been to colombia before to visit my family. But now i'm planning to go with a friend to just stay by ourself for about three weeks to a month. but we are not planning to leave till next july. so how much will i need to save up for the trip ?
This is not an easy question as your itinerary can include just about anything from a $5/night hostel room to $200+/night hotel. Without knowing details of hotels, cities, activities, and your appetite for nightlife, food, adventure, etc... I'm just guessing.
I can tell you that the first time I went to Colombia, I stayed 2 weeks in July in decent to nice hotels visiting Cali, Cartagena x2, and Pereira. The domestic travel was booked through a Colombian travel agent which kept prices low. I spent about $2000 total during the trip. I partied a lot, ate well, and of course had to pay for all the hotel and airfare. You could easily do many of the same things using cheaper alternatives such as hostels and buses to save money.
