Question
Hello,
My baby will be born in United States this year, but we (parents) are Colombian. How is the procedure to get the Colombian nacionality for the baby. We are living in Miami. It is better to do that in Miami or in Colombia?

Thanks,
Luz.

Answer
Hi Luz,
You can do it in the Consulate or in Colombia, I assume easier in Miami since you are there. You need copies of your birth certificates, as well as your baby's. Register him at the Consulate first and then file for his citizenship.
