Question
I saw the process on obtaining duel Citizenship as I am US Gringo by birth and full Paisa by blood. If I do go through the Colombian protocol in obtaining Colombian citizenship, will I compromise my American citizenship ? Will I have the right to work in Colombia? My father has properties and a business and is getting too old. He is looking for help so I wanted to begin commuting without violating any laws or regulations as well as not compromising my US Citizenship.

Answer
Hi George,
You can obtain Colombian citizenship without compromising your US citizenship, as the US and Colombia have a treaty that allow dual citizenships. You can file either at the consulate or here in Colombia.
if you have any other questions or help in the process, our agency will be happy to help, you can reach us directly at info@colombianpossibilities.com
