hi my name is Jessica and i have a girlfriend that wants to go to Colombia to see her family but i don't want to be without her for 2 weeks so i said that we could go later on but I'm scared i am half puerto rican and italian but i speak no spanish and they know no english at all so im going to feel very awkward. At the same time i hear great things, but i don't know what to do ?

Hi Jessica,
I think you should do a little research about Colombia in the last 6 years, with that you should feel a lot mor comfortable traveling here. The safety situation has improved ten fold and Colombia is becoming a top tourist spot. As far as language, anyone would also feel awkward traveling to a country where you don't know the language, but you will find that Colombians are very kind and woul do everything possible to make you feel at home.
