Question
My friend was adopted from Colombia when she was 3 months old, she has since been living in the US. She asked me that is she was born in colombia does that mean that she is a colombian citizen and im not exactly sure. She has not yet become a us citizen because her adopted parents never did the paperwork needed but they are starting the process now. Also do you know if theres anyway she can maybe find out who her parents are, she was adopted from Bucaramanga,Colombia. Her adopted parents wont give her much information.

Her Colombian citizneship depends on the year she was born. However, it is for sure that if she does not have her Colombian citizenship now, she could very well apply for it and obtain it. She can also apply for her U.S. citizenship, she just needs the right documents to do so.
