| Comment | Thank you for your help--I've been going nuts trying to find information on the subject, but to no avail. I have had my heart set on a Peugeot for years--my ex husband owned one when he lived in Ecuador and loved it, and after doing research on them myself, I'm kind of in love with the cars myself. Unfortunately, they are not available in the US, and thought I might buy one while in a place where they existed! I can't believe they wouldn't let someone from out of the country buy a car for exportation--with exorbitant markups like that, you would think the government would be thrilled to find someone willing to pay it, cedula or no!!! I guess I will just do the temporary import--I have read up on how to go about all the shipping and whatnot, but was really hoping I could get away without all that driving! haha. We'll see if I do a two-way drive or if I continue through to Paraguay. If I remember, I will let you know how it went, but it is still about 14 months before I plan on making the journey. Well thank you again for your reply and helpful advice. Best wishes to you and your family. I hope your emergency was taken care of! | ||
