Colombia/Dual citizenship

Question
Hello!

Both of my parents are born in Colombia and are citizens in the U.S and Colombia.
I was born in the U.S

The documents I need to take for dual citizenship are my birth certificate apostilled and translated
And my parents birth certificates... Now do I need the original certificate or can my parents birth certificate just be a copy? I don't live in the same city as my parents so it's easier if they can fax it to me

Answer
Hello Katherine,
You will need original copies of your parents' certificates and they need to be recent copies, no older than 3 months.
Should you need help in obtaining these certificates we will be glad to help. Contact us at info@colombianpossibilities.com
