Question
I was just called by my best friends husband to let me know that she has colon and liver cancer and is in stage 4. She is only 29. Can you please let me know what this means and how many stages there are.. and if you can, what is the outcome of this?

Answer
That was early! Does it run in her family? It means that she has cancer of her large bowel and that it has spread to her liver (to another organ = stage 4, the highest - worst - stage). This means that she in principle is incurable and that it most probably will kill her, but I can not predict her survival time. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
