dear Dr.claes

dear dr..i'm sorry if this subject is not declared in ur menue , but i cant find a doctor for colonic ulcers.
my question is that my sister infected of colonic ulcer inflame for 8 years ago.she tried many doctors and they adviced her to use a tablets called (mizacol 400mg) continuosly for 2 yrs with a rate of 9 tablets daily! , but thats impossible here because it is a costly and also this tablets are not availabe always!..
know her health is very bad and she became very weaken and
she cannt eat enough to keep her health and strenght because the colon is pain her when having any food !
please Dr.. advice me about a suitable treatment to recover or at least, to keep her health...best regards

If it is ulcerative colitis she has there is no cure - except surgical removal of the whole colon. I live in Sweden. I do not know where you live and what may be available there. Also this illness is not anything I'm treating. I strongly suggest that you direct this question to an expert of Internal medicine or gastroenterology. Good luck!
