Question
My dad was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. We are in the process of setting up surgery and the testing that occurs during this part of the process. What changes to his diet should he be making that will help with the recovery and increase a healthier lifestyle?
The role of the diet in developing colon cancer is under debate. A large emphasis has been put on fiber content, fruit & vegetables. While the evidence for this certainly is not rock solid, such a diet is probably at least not harmful. So that is what I can recommend.
