Colon Cancer/question

Question
how to differentiate between adenocarcinoma colon and adenommatous polyp with dysplasia on cytology?

Answer
The difference between dysplasia and carcinoma is often difficult and sometimes requires consultation. It is a histological determination made using pathological criteria. To begin, there is an assessment of cell morphology called pleomorphism and nuclear type(s).  Special histochemical stains are also used to determine type and grade. If you need further insight I would direct you to ask our oncologist on AllExperts in the health care section.
