Question
Father said heis on the mend after seven surguries colon he said if he stayed off the booze and followed his doc's recomendations he would have a good 10 years to enjoy with us.His eyes clear skin tone better not like it was when he drank. He was thin(beer belly gone, lean) but able to drive from mt to ca. He eating well & drinking ensure. under alot of stress and was so much more calm in directing me. He died suddenly within 3 weeks of coming home. Medical examinermalnutrition non current dr.said colon cancer But I don't think so. No heart issues. R there foods we should have known he couldn't have and what would those foods likely be? alcohol of coarse. He was taking a mild vicadin for pain as directed by a dr. who he did see 4 years prior-- so the deputy called the wrong doctor.  The death cert, duputy reporter, medical examiner,& Montana Doc reports are all diferent! his weight goes from 140 in 3 weeks to 90 lb's Dead? Have you had patients recover with 3 to 6 month check up releases

Answer
I'm sorry to read about his death! Was any autopsy done? If so what did it show? Without an autopsy all I can do is speculation. Anyway I do not think any diet would have been of much difference. An autopsy I think should have been done here with this back ground.
