Colon Cancer/stage II prognosis

Question
I have been confused with the research I have done for 5 year survival rates for stage II T3 N0 M0 colon cancer. I see 5 year survival rate prognosis ranging from 60% to 90% for the same stage two with no lymph node involvement. I am wondering shy the significant difference in the prognosis rates for the same stage of colon cancer that I see on different internet sites.

Answer
Stage is not all! Grade is also important! If there are statistical differences with regards to grade between different materials there WILL be prognosis differences between them too! Low grade: Better prognosis, high grade: Worse prognosis! Grade is determined by an experienced and skilled pathologist by microscopy studies of the tumor tissues. This is most probably the reason behind the differences.
