Colon Cancer/stage iv

Question
My husband was diagnosed with stage iv, metastatic mucus adeno carcinoma in April 2007. The Doctor gave him a ileostomy to help him to be comfortable and help extend what time he might have left.  Before he had his surgery he was on blood pressure meds.  After surgery he was on none.  The Doctor gave him 2 months since the cancer had spread to all organs.  The Doctor stated there was so much cancer; he could not determine where it started and there was nothing more he could do.  At that time he was 175 lbs, now he is about 90 lbs.  I should mention he has the signet ring.  Up until today he had not been back on blood pressure meds, now he is back on.  Can you tell me what might be causing this and what I can expect?  He is concerned with have a stroke or just lingering.

Answer
No one can tell you EXACTLY how long anyone in this situation will survive. Honestly his blood pressure is in this situation of very minor importance. He will unfortunately continue to go down hill until he falls into a coma and then passes away. I'm sorry I have nothing better to tell you!
