Colon Cancer/just wondering?

Question
I HAD A COLONOSCOPY LESS THAN 2 YEARS AGO, AT 26 YEARS OLD, BECAUSE OF OCCASIONALY BLEEDING AFTER A BOWEL MOVEMENT. MY DOC SAID ALL LOOKED GREAT, I JUST HAD INTERNAL HEMMROIDS AND PUT ME ON A HIGH FIBER DIET.  WELL, TRUTHFULLY, I HAVEN'T FOLLOWED HIS ORDERS AND STILL ON OCCASION, HAVE A SPOT OF BLOOD.  I REALLY WOULDN'T WORRY BUT MY BROTHER HAS ULCERATIVE COLITIS AND I AM WORRIED THAT I MAY NEED ANOTHER COLONOSCOPY AGAIN! SHOULD I HAVE ANOTHER ONE SO SOON? COULD CANCER/POLYP GROW THIS QUICKLY OR IS IT SAFE TO SAY IT IS PROBABLY THE HEMMROIDS AGAIN AND TAKE MY DOCS ADVISE ABOUT BULKING UP ON FIBER.  THANK YOU.

Answer
It is unlikely that you at your age and after a colonoscopy at that time now should have a colon cancer. But the fact that your brother has colitis ulcerosa worries me somewhat - not from a cancer point of view at the moment, but you could develop a colitis too. So probably you should have another colonoscopy to be on the safe side.
