Colorado/Good Vacation Spots

Question
Hope my question`s not out of line here.  I`m not particularly into downhill skiing, but definitely like hiking, mountain biking and cross-country skiing.  Can you suggest vacation areas up to 3 hours drive from Denver that might not be too outrageously expensive for a long Thanksgiving weekend?  Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Answer
J L,
Most of the ski areas in Colorado offer those things however, hiking and mountain biking may not be available because of the snow.  Cross-country skiing is widely available at those places.  Dillon, which is really close to 3 ski areas, has a cross-country ski center.  It's only about an hour to an hour and a half drive from Denver. www.colorado.net is a good spot to look for these activities.  Frisco is one of the cities that have a cross-country ski center.  The # is 970-668-0866.  I hope this helps answer your questions.  If you have any others or this is unclear, please let me know.

I currently live in Colorado and enjoy skiing. I have adequate knowledge of Denver and the many of the ski areas around knowledge. I would like to help out people who are looking to travel to Denver and hope to ski. I know I can give them a good idea of what to do and where to go.
