Dear Sharon,when is the best period to visit your area except winter?

June, early July. Or Late September, early October.Late July through early September can get quite hot. And it has been very dry the last few years. So I would strongly suggest June for the prettiest time. It will still be quite cool in the high mountains. You would need warm clothes. But also take cool clothes as the lower elevations should be quite nice.
