Expert: Sherry Pacino - 3/3/2006
QuestionMy boyfriend and I are going to Red River, NM in mid-June for vacation and we were thinking of driving in Southern Colorado for a day. Any suggestions of things we should see? I'm not really sure of what all is in Southern Colorado so I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.
AnswerHi Jamie,
I am sending you several links of great stuff to see. Also, please write me back and tell me what your interests are and I can get more specific on suggestions.
In the Las Animas County Area: The Highway of Legends
One of the first three scenic Highways in the State of Colorado. And one of the most scenic and historic drives in Colorado too. The Colorado State Scenic Byway begins either in La Veta or Trinidad and takes you through 22 communities, points of interest, scenic vistas, historical, cultural and recreational areas.
The Highway of Legends is a GREAT sight seeing drive.
