My husband knows slapstick. between the two of us, we know most of the funny movies and who stars/directed them. we`re particularly fond of movie bloopers, and can recite verbatim from films like caddyshack, meatballs, animal house etc. huge bill murray fans, as well as robin williams and steve martin.
Experience i'm in my late 40's looking at 50 looming ahead. it's not a pretty site, but the good news is, i have seen alotta films.
Question i saw a movie in the early 80's so its at least that old. it was about four groups of people after 4 identical black suitcases. one was filled with cash, one was filled with diamonds. I cannot remember what the others were filled with but the comedy came from the suitcases constantly being stolen by the wrong group. any help?
Answer The only comedy film I can think of w/ 4 suitcases is "What's Up Doc" w/ Barbra Streisand and Ryan O"Neal.
But the suitcases were red plaid, not black. And that was from the mid 1970's. Could this be the film you're thinking of?
