Question
Hi,
I remember watching this movie when I was a kid, I only remember bits and pieces. There were 2 ghosts -a man and a woman, they were shot and thrown into a well or something, and they do not remember this till the end. They try to haunt the house that some people live in, and I vaguely remember an inscription on a tree, or a letter..Sorry, I am not giving you much to work with here. I remember this one scene where they try to walk through the door for the first time, and only half of them goes through, and they drink water to find it coming out of the bullet wounds..
Could you please help? I remember enjoying this movie a lot, would love to watch it again

Answer
Hmmn.  Not alot of info here, could you be thinking of a film called "Beetle Juice'?

Here is a link...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094721/

But that film was not B&W, so maybe not...

what time period was this film from?  was it black & white because it was that old a film, or was it shot in B&W just for effect?

I'll continue to research this but offhand am coming up blank.  More info may help tho!
