My husband knows slapstick. between the two of us, we know most of the funny movies and who stars/directed them. we`re particularly fond of movie bloopers, and can recite verbatim from films like caddyshack, meatballs, animal house etc. huge bill murray fans, as well as robin williams and steve martin.
Experience i'm in my late 40's looking at 50 looming ahead. it's not a pretty site, but the good news is, i have seen alotta films.
Question For days now, my sister-in-law and I have been trying to figure out what movie partially takes place in a mental institution. The main character is in there (but doesn't need to be), and he's sitting at a table with an older gentleman who's eating checkers as he's playing it. This is driving me crazy. I know it's a relatively newer movie. But this is the only part I can remember for some reason. My sis-in-law keeps coming up with answers I know aren't right, because some are movies I haven't seen in years, or ever, and I just watched this a few weeks ago on tv. HELP!

Are you thinking of "Cuckoo's Nest" w/ Jack Nicholson? or something newer?
