this is a popular question.  actually, it depends on what period of time you are asking about.

The core of the group during the so-called "golden period" of the 1930s probably is the best known. This group included George "Spanky" McFarland, Carol "Alfalfa" Switzer, Darla Hood, Matthew "Stymie" Beard, Norman "Chubby" Chaney and Bobby "Wheezer" Hutchins, with other characters supporting them.  The only real constant character, however, was Pete the dog.

I know funny. My husband knows slapstick. between the two of us, we know most of the funny movies and who stars/directed them. we`re particularly fond of movie bloopers, and can recite verbatim from films like caddyshack, meatballs, animal house etc. huge bill murray fans, as well as robin williams and steve martin.
