Hi, I don't know if you can help but I remember seeing a film several years ago that I don't know the name of.  It was a similar style to The Goonies or The Monster Squad and involved a group of children exploring a creepy old house.  At one point one of the kids accidentally goes through a secret door and finds himself the other side of the wall.  He finds a peephole in the wall and tries to attract the attention of the other kids without success, first by shouting and then by sticking his tongue through the hole.  You then see that the hole is actually an eye socket of a painting.  He is also able to move the eyes about I think.  There was also a bit in the film with the same kid (i think) in a washing machine but I may have imagined that.  any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks Jim.

after much research i am sorry to say i cannot come up w/ an answer here.  do you remember if there were any big names in the film?  i have looked and looked but am unable to come up with the film you are thinking of.

i'm sorry.  i'm seldom stumped!
