Question
In which movie did some (kids?) destroy a "Rhinestone Cowboy" LP by scratching it on a gramophone?

As i recall, it was at a school party , and some DJ's were playing rap music while scratching. The central character, a new teacher, wanted to contribute with some music, so he brings some rare old record which broke due to the rough handling.

I Guess it was some kind of spoof on movies like "Dangerous minds" etc. typical where a teacher comes to take over a school class with maladjusted children.

Answer
Hakon, a followup from my earlier answer, now that I have rewatched the 1996 movie "High School High," starring Jon Lovitz.  I now can say with certainty that I was right in the first answer, although apparently you weren't sure I was.  This film is indeed the film you are looking for (although the Rhinestone Cowboy rare record wasn't broken, just very scratched up).
______
Hakon, without a date I cannot be absolutely sure, but this sounds like "High School High," a 1996 film starring Jon Lovitz as an educated new teacher in an inner-city school.  It was a direct spoof of "Dangerous Minds" (released in 1995), along with several other high school films (e.g. "Stand and Deliver," "Rebel Without a Cause," etc.).

I hope this is the title you are looking for.  If not, then I will need more information, including a possible date for the film.

Expertise

I am a professor of communication at a midwest university, who has expertise on subjects related to film. I can answer general questions on U.S. film comedy (especially satires of the 1960s and 1970s) and comic theory. I also could answer questions related to specific comic genres, such as comedian comedies, screwball comedies, "stupid" comedies, and so forth. The more specific you can make your question, the better (e.g. main plot details, main characters, possible character names, possible actors, how you viewed the show, etc.). I also need to have a release date (or range of dates, or at least the year you viewed the film). Please do not just provide a set of links to someplace else (e.g. imdb discussion threads). I am less able to answer questions about comedies from other countries, made-for-TV movies, and recent comic films and actors (although I would do my best to find out). I cannot answer questions about specific TV shows or series, "Our Gang" episodes, anime/magna or about film collectables. I generally cannot provide movie recommendations, since what I find funny others may not. Nor will I answer obvious homework (although I will point you to resources to help answer the question, if asked). I also can't help you find movie stars, or where to buy movie memorabilia, or tell you how to break into the business.
