HI APRIL,....I'M DANNY AND I'M A HUGE SLAPSTICK FAN!  AND IT'S SEEMS LIKE
YOU ARE TOO! (It's probably cause I grew up watching HOURS of The Three
Stooges...LOL) AND MY QUESTION TO YOU IS WHY DO PEOPLE ENJOY
SLAPSTICK SO MUCH? YOU KNOW, THE OLD KICK IN THE SHIN, PIE IN THE
FACE STUFF?  I CAN'T GET ENOUGH.........THANK'S MUCH/ (SLAPSTICK FAN

i have often asked myself this question.   we find humor in other people's misfortune?   same w/ funny home video's.  the ones people laugh hardest at are the ones where people are most likely hurt or injured.

does not make a lot of sense does it?   i don't think there is a definitive answer as every person would give you a different response.

the important thing is that people enjoy laughing.  laughter = the best medicine

I know funny. My husband knows slapstick. between the two of us, we know most of the funny movies and who stars/directed them. we`re particularly fond of movie bloopers, and can recite verbatim from films like caddyshack, meatballs, animal house etc. huge bill murray fans, as well as robin williams and steve martin.

i'm in my late 40's looking at 50 looming ahead. it's not a pretty site, but the good news is, i have seen alotta films.
