Question
Just saw a movie on cable, can't recall any actors' names, it was a B movie, plot: group of 3 or 4 bizarre people including a Chinese woman who does the computer/hacking password-type work, a guy who uses a Fortune telling Fish (paper-thin plastic fish that you put on your hand and the skin moisture makes it curl up or even flip over) to predict outcomes, and a blasting expert, rob a bank that is underneath a disco, actually they are after a Chinese statue in the vault.  The manager of the disco is also involved. What can go wrong does go wrong,  one of the dumb robbers orders pizza to be delivered to them and the delivery boy sees what they're doing, they tell him they can't let him go now, and he happily agrees, eventually  helps do the actual robbery. The DJ in the disco has to play a certain song when they're doing the blasting, because it covers up the sound, but it's a really crappy song, so he takes the song off early and people hear the explosion.  There is as a Chinese gang threatening the robbers because they want the statue,  sex in bathrooms, some slapstick and some smart humor. Very funny movie. The robbers are wonderfully dysfunctional. I must know the title!  Thanks for helping!

Answer
after much research, and in spite of the great amount of info you provide, i am stumped.

what year do you think this film was from?  this decade?  the 80's?  did you recognize a single star?

i'm thinking maybe 'foul play' with goldie hawn and chevy chase, but...

anything else you can remember would help.  will continue to work on this one.

My husband knows slapstick. between the two of us, we know most of the funny movies and who stars/directed them. we`re particularly fond of movie bloopers, and can recite verbatim from films like caddyshack, meatballs, animal house etc. huge bill murray fans, as well as robin williams and steve martin.
