Comic books (Comics)/Trying to find a horror/ghost comic..

Question
I had a comic as a kid once, don't know if it's Gold Key or not.

One of the ghost stories is about a blind man begger pencil
seller and his doberman, who are attacked by a mugger. Well, the dog
avenges their deaths by pursuing the murderer in the end.

On the cover of this comic is a pic of a huge ghost Doberman
leaping over the Golden Gate bridge at night and the mugger is
running right at you in a panic, looking over his shoulder in terror at
the giant dog coming after him.

I'd kill to see this issue again. The artwork was simply fantastic.

Can't remember the comic line, just the story itself which was just one
of two or three stories in this issue. This is from kidhood and the
story and art had a huge impact on me at age five. LOL.

Can anyone help me find this ghost/horror comic issue?

Patti

Answer
Hi Patty

Sorry this cover/story doesn't ring a bell for me.  If it's in the Gold Key era, it probably was a Gold Key title or possibly an ACG or DC title.  You can scan titles on

www.comics.org

Likely titles are Boris Karloff Tales of Mystery, Twilight Zone, Adventures into the Unknown, and Forbidden Worlds.

Or it could have been one of the DC titles: House of Mystery, House of Secrets, Strange Adventures, Tales of the Unexpected.

Good luck!  Chris
