Question
Mark

I was cleaning out my old bedroom closet and came across my old treasure box all things Star Wars. I am curious as the the value of the comics. I have the Star Wars reprints, number 4,5 and 6. Each sold for 35 cents. The price is inside a diamond on the top left of each comic. Each one is also reprint. Believe it or not, I purchased all three of these together and they are still inside the plastic wrap, although the wrap is open at the top. All three were sold together for 99 cents. The plastic wrap and the Star Wars on front and the 99 cents. I am unsure how to grade the condition. There are no tears or rips but the corners are somewhat bent, but for being in a closet for the past 22 years, they look pretty good.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Answer
Hi Fran,

Without seeing them, it's difficult to give an exact grade.  However, based on your description, I would think that they would grade no lower than Fine and possibly as high as Very Fine if there are no crease marks/color breaks where the corners are bent.

I've included a link below to a web site where you can see what defects are allowable for various grades.

Hopefully this will help.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
