would like to know how much a 1974 (aug) mint condition comic book is worth archie series 247 ?

Value is somewhat subjective, depending on who you ask. It's essentially a combination of the grade of the book and an estimate of how much it can fetch.
The best source for pricing is the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide - the oldest and most reliable guide for comics - which is what I use when I'm considering a purchase or selling a book.
That said, this would be priced - in Near Mint condition - around $10. This is the expected price you might pay at a retailer.
