Hi there -

Do you know if its ever been revealed who raised the Batman after his parents were killed?  I know he was about 8 or 9 years old, so who took care of him before he began his crusade to turn himself into a superhero?

Also, who raised Daredevil after his father was killed?  Was it ever revealed what exactly happened to his mother?

I've been a fan for more than 30 years and I confess I don't know the answers to those questions!

Sorry for the delay.

Questions like this are really fascinating but notoriously difficult to answer because of the nature of the superhero genre, where characters live for seventy years (in the Batman's case) and whose lives are guided by generations of writers spanning different media -comic, film, graphic novel, etc- so that there isn't really one definitive or stable answer available.
