Question
Hi Nicolas,
I have 3 Star Wars comics that I cannot find in any data base , but I found you on google, can you please tell me their worth and where do I find buyers?
I have one titled Diana Prince: Wonder Woman- "The Beauty Hater"- # 200 - June
She is not is her usual costume, it is white instead of the American red, gold blue.
Can you tell me more about this series of  Wonder Woman?
Thank you Jennifer

Answer
Hi Jennifer:

The Wonder Woman comic you have was published in June 1972 and is from the original series, which started back in 1942. It is quite sought after because of the cover artist (Jeff Jones) and the type of cover (girl in bondage) and in mint condition could be worth anywhere between 40$ and 80$ and maybe more in pristine condition.

The other Star Wars books are from the first unlimited comic serie, published shortly after the first SW movie was released. They are not particularly collected but a Star Wars comic collector would pay 5-7$ a piece in nice condition again.

Before you sell them, you need to carefully assess the condition. There are many guides (including visual) on the net about how to assess a comic book.

I would recommend to sell the Wonder Woman book on eBay and the other ones to a local dealer who might be looking after those issues. Expect to get about 50% of the value from the dealer.

Hope that is useful.

Nicolas

I have been collecting comics for 20 years, mostly Marvel from the 70s and 80s. I have a pretty large collection of comics and portfolios. I am a big Fan of Walt Simonson and P Craig Russell in particular.
