Question
WHICH COPY HAS MORE VALUE? MY COPIES HAVE CHARACTERS BUT ON MOST SITES I FIND THE SAME ISSUE WITH A UPC INSTEAD OF A CHARACTER?

Answer
Hi Dominic

I have never heard of collectors placing a premium on copies with our without UPC codes.

The only exception I am aware of is the rare .35 cent first edition of Star Wars 1 from the 70s, which is reportedly the first comic to ever have a UPC code and which is worth much more than the not-so-rare .30 cent no-UPC code version.

There are also a few 70s comics, Star Wars issues being notable, where a totally blank UPC code box indicates that it is a reprint.
