Question
Hello Chris, my name is John. When I was about 10 years old (early 1970s) I bought an old Mad magazine at a garage sale. It is dated 1958 and is the best of Mad, from 1952-1958. It has a forward by Ernie Kovacs. It is hard cover. I do not collect comics, I do have an ebay account and have thought about listing it for sale. Was wondering if you have seen or heard of this issue and what it might be worth. Thanks for your time, John~

Answer
Hi John

It sounds like you are referring to the Mad for Keeps volume.  It is a neat item but does not generally go for high prices.  However, you might still be able to get back multiples of what you paid for it at a yard sale.  A third printing with dust jacket recently sold on eBay for $15.  See item # 110328816143

Then a 4th printing without dust jacket sold for $22.  See item # 110331438489

So that seems to be an approximate price range.  If you have a first printing, especially in decent shape with dust jacket, it could go for more.
