Question
Hi, i'm looking for a comic book for my Dad which he read when he was 7/8yrs old in 1947.  I think it is Donald Duck, Lost in the Andes, but before i buy it would you know if it contains the following phrase of some sort (this is what he can remember from comic) - that the person couldn't pronounce some words and put 'per' in front of everything :
"I never (per)saw such a (per)fishy set of (per)customers".
Thanks

Answer
Hi Annabelle -

Yes, the issue Donald Duck, Lost in the Andes was published as Four Color Comics #223 and does have the dialogue you describe.

It was an attempt by the writers to portray a pseudo-Norwegian type of language for a race of mountain people Donald and his nephews encounter.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Expertise

I am an expert on the storylines of most DC and Marvel comics particularly the X-Men, Justice League and most Marvel comics of the 70's, 80's and early 90's. The characters with which I am the most familiar are Daredevil, Iron Man, Batman, and the Avengers. I am a rabid Green Lantern fan as well and would put that as one of my favorite things in life! One thing I won't do is estimate the value of a comic book, if that is what you need check out www.comicspriceguide.com

Experience

I have collected comic books for 36 years and have close relatives in the industry who helped shape the direction of comics in the early seventies.
