Comic books (Comics)/Undergrond Comics story

Question
I am looking for a particular story in an underground comic book published in the late `60s/very early `70s, probably from the west coast (SF or LA?).

Sorry, I don't have any details except the general story line -  the story was four or five pages long, about the travels/trip/experience of a thought or an idea, from conception, through the mind or brain (past id, ego, superego, libido, unconsciousness,  etc.) to the mouth and speech.

Thank you for any help or links to other sources?

Phil

Answer
Hi Phil

Sorry but this story doesn't ring a bell for me.  It sounds like it could be something done by Robert Crumb--are you familiar with his style?  If you could identify the artist, you could really narrow down where it might have appeared.

As to other sources, there is a book: "A History of Underground Comics" by Mark Estren, originally published in 1974.  I read it some time ago and don't remember a story like this described, but that might just be my memory.  From looking on Amazon, I see this book has been reissued, so it might be worth either buying this book or finding a library copy and seeing if it has any helpful info or can help spark your memory with its plentiful images.
