Question
i want to know how to tell if my dragonball comics are first print or not. im talking about the actual comics not the graphic novels. dragonball was published by viz early on in comic book form but i cant tell what edition my comics are. thanks

Answer
Hi Bob,

Usually the printing information is included in the indicia located usually at the bottom margin of the first page.  In some newer comics it would be included on the bottom margin of the last page.  Typical information would include the title, issue number, date, and publisher.

If the comic is a 2nd, 3rd, etc. printing, that info would be included here.  For first printings, some publishers will include that in the indicia while others will not.  If there is no information on the printing included in the indicia, I would assume that it would be a first printing.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you have any other questions.
