Question
I have a lone ranger comic book, vol. 1 no.10, from 1949 and i was wondering what value it has gained over the years. It has been damaged slightly on the back cover by an ink pen, but other than that it is in great condition. If i can find out a decent price on it I am willing to sell it but not for anything less than what it is worth.

Answer
Hi Colby

Sorry to be slow to respond.  We've been trying to put together a birthday party for my wife and I haven't been keeping up with my email the last couple days.

Lone Ranger 10 has a pretty good value in the price guide.  It ranges from $19 in Good condition, $38 in VG, $57 in Fine, all the way up to $315 in Near Mint.

It's hard to tell the damage your comic has without seeing it.  If someone has written on the back cover in ink, I would guess it would be VG at best, probably closer to Good.  If there is lots of scribbling, it might even be less than Good.
