Question
I can't find anything about this comic book (the origin of robin, 1969). my granddad found it in the back of his old closet and we are wondering if it is a rarity, which it seems to be.

Answer
Hi Dorian

You didn't provide me a lot of information, but I'm guessing that you're referring to Batman 213, which has "The Origin of Robin" printed on the center of the cover and was published in 1969.  This comic reprints a number of Batman stories from earlier issues and also includes new artwork with Robin's origin story.

Superhero comics from the late 60s are not especially rare but are certainly collectible, especially if in nice condition.  This comic has a price guide value from a low of $8 in your typical used and worn condition to a high of $100 if in newsstand new condition.
