Question
I bought a Betty comic # 184 and the 2nd and 3rd page of it are like blue.
Is this a printing error.  Worth anything?

Answer
Hello, Sabrina - thanks for your question!

Unlike in Federal Mints, printing errors are too costly to keep from going into general circulation.  Whether we're talking about a newspaper, a magazine or a comic book, the printing error will be the "problem" of the consumer.

In some cases, the printing error is two covers on the same comic.  This provides a little added protection and is the only error that has any likelihood of providing additional value to the book.

Outside of that, a printing error (cover not centered, ink spill, etc.) will usually detract from the overall value of the book.  Considering that they printed these books in the hundreds of thousands per print run, there is little likelihood that any printing error applied to the entirety of the pressing.

Expertise

I`ve been collecting comics for over 40 years and am able to answer most questions regarding comics, creators, fandom and the industry from the Golden Age through to today`s comics, with an emphasis on super and action heroes and most of my expertise ranges in the Silver to Modern Ages. My expertise lies in DC Comics/National Periodical Publications, although my general knowledge extends well into Marvel, Tower, Archie, Charlton & many of the "Independent" companies that began in the late 70`s & 80`s. I do have some knowledge of the Western, Funny Animals, Romance and other genres, but to a lesser degree, so please don't grade me on specific knowledge of these areas if you choose to ask me questions on those topics.
